Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information PokeNotify collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and our iOS and Android apps.
Who we are
PokeNotify LLC (“PokeNotify”, “we”, “us”) operates a trading-card-game restock alerting service delivered through our website and mobile app. We are an independent collector tool with no retailer affiliations. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@pokenotify.com.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service:
- Account information. When you sign in (including with Sign in with Apple), we receive your email address and, if you provide it, your name. If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email,” we only ever see the relay address Apple provides.
- Device & push tokens. To deliver restock alerts, we store the push notification token for your device.
- Preferences. The regions, retailers, and games you choose to follow, your ZIP code and search radius, so we can show nearby information and send relevant alerts.
- Location. With your device permission, we use your location to find nearby stores and collector reports. Fresh precise location can also help determine eligibility for contribution rewards. Retailer visit reminders default on, but background location starts only after you complete location setup and grant the required device permissions. For these reminders, we use location in the background to detect nearby retailer visits and remind you to report or verify card stock, even when the app is closed or not in use. Background visit reminders use nearby store geofences rather than a continuous record of your movements. You can use a ZIP code for area searches without enabling these reminders.
- Information you submit. Collector reports, stock confirmations, photos, profile details and feedback you choose to send. Information shared with the collector community can be visible to other users.
- Subscription status. If you purchase a subscription, our payment providers and the app store tell us whether your subscription is active. We never receive or store your payment card details.
- Usage data. Limited activity such as which restock alerts you tap and your notification history, used to operate and improve the alerting features.
- Analytics & advertising data. We collect product-analytics events (such as page views, sign-ups, and trial starts) and advertising-measurement signals (such as cookies and identifiers used to measure the performance of our ads). See Analytics and advertising below. Website analytics and advertising cookies follow your consent choices. On iOS, we request permission before using the advertising identifier for tracking across other companies’ apps and websites.
How we use your information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To send the restock alerts and notifications you sign up for.
- To provide subscription features and verify your membership status.
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal information. We do measure the performance of our own advertising, as described in the next section, subject to the applicable device permissions and website consent choices.
Analytics and advertising
To understand how PokeNotify is used and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising, we use the following, subject to your choices below:
- Product analytics. We record first-party usage events — such as page views, sign-ups, and trial starts — to understand our funnels and improve the product. We do not enable mobile session recording. Mobile product analytics and crash diagnostics operate separately from Apple’s advertising tracking permission; website analytics follows your cookie consent.
- Advertising measurement. When you consent, our website loads an advertising pixel and our servers send our advertising partner corresponding conversion events, so we can measure which of our ads lead to sign-ups and subscriptions. This may include cookies and a hashed version of your email used solely to match a conversion.
- Mobile app attribution. In our iOS app we ask, through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether we may use advertising identifiers. Only if you allow tracking do we collect those identifiers and share subscription-conversion events with our advertising partner for ad measurement. If you decline, we do not use the iOS advertising identifier. Limited install and subscription measurement can still operate without that identifier. Android advertising measurement follows the available device privacy settings. The app continues to work when iOS tracking is declined.
Declining website consent prevents optional analytics and advertising cookies from loading. Declining Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt limits advertising tracking; it does not disable mobile product analytics, crash diagnostics or service notifications.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that help us run PokeNotify, and only as needed for them to perform their service. These providers are bound to protect your data and use it only on our behalf.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your account and the data associated with it, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal obligations.
For retailer visit reminders, the server validates the submitted location without storing those raw coordinates in visit records. It keeps a temporary account/device/store association for notification targeting. A visit expires after 60 minutes unless refreshed with fresh nearby location, and expired targeting records are removed within 24 hours. Limited notification receipts prevent duplicate messages and enforce reminder limits.
Your rights and choices
- Delete your account. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from the app: open your profile and choose “Delete account.” You can also email us at support@pokenotify.com and we will delete your account.
- Manage notifications. You can turn off push notifications in your device settings at any time. In the app, you can change alert preferences and disable retailer visit reminders. You can also revoke background or precise location access in device settings.
- Manage analytics & advertising consent. On the web, you choose whether to allow analytics and advertising cookies when you first visit, and you can change your choice by clearing the site’s stored data in your browser. On iOS, you control ad tracking through the App Tracking Transparency prompt and in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Access or correct your data. Contact us and we will help with access or correction requests.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights. If you are in the EU or UK, you can object to or withdraw consent for analytics and advertising, and request access, correction, deletion, or portability of your data. If you are a California resident, you can request access to or deletion of your personal information and opt out of the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising — which we already gate behind your consent. To exercise any of these rights, email support@pokenotify.com.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Manage or cancel Apple subscriptions in your App Store settings, Google Play subscriptions in Google Play, and subscriptions billed on PokeNotify.com through your web billing account.
Children’s privacy
PokeNotify is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
